Noel Waite
Noel Waite AO has a background encompassing directorships of private, public sector and educational boards and committees.
She is presently Chairman of Waite Group, Partner and Creative Director of Waite InterSearch, Director of International Specialised Skills Institute, Advisory Board of "Ortus Star" for the University of Tasmania and was a previous Director of the State Training Board, the Public Transport Corporation and Chair of the Leukaemia Foundation in Victoria.
She is Founder President of Women Chiefs of Enterprises -International, the Australian branch of World Women Entrepreneurs and was a member of the World Task Force for Strategic Planning.
Noel has extensive networks, having written and delivered many papers both in Australia and overseas including Business Leaders in a World of Change, Restructuring and Developing Human Resources and Downsizing, Partnerships in International Trade and Affirmative Action - the Role of the Consultant. Her book The Gold Within (Lothian Books) was published in the year 2000. She is listed in the International Who's Who of Women, Who's Who in Australia and in the Inaugural Federation Honour Roll of Outstanding Women in Victoria 2001. In March 2006 she was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame at the Australia Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, Swinburne University.
Noel Waite is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Honorary Fellow and first woman President of the Australian Institute of Management and recipient of the Malcolm Moore Medal for "Outstanding Services to Management". She is also a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a member of the Australian Institute of Career Counsellors.
Due to the number of senior executives and Board aspirants approaching the Waite Group for coaching for career development and board expectation, Noel designed the Board Step program which was presented in association with the Australian Institute of Company Directors for over 9 years, is now offered on a national basis with Steps Programs. In 1993 Noel was elected an Officer of the Order of Australia.
